How to Install the Lightning Conductor Web Part.

  1. Download your Web Part by visiting the downloads section of our web site:
  2. Login using your username and password that you used to register yourself on our web site.
  3. Click the link to download the Lightning Conductor Web Part.
  4. Extract the Zip file onto your SharePoint Web Front End Server.
  5. Open a command prompt.
  6. Use Stsadm to install the LightningConductorWebPart.wsp. The following example command should help you:(C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
     Shared\web server extensions\12\BIN\STSADM.EXE" -o addsolution -f "C:\LightningConductorWebPart.wsp")
  7. Open SharePoint Central Administration
  8. Click the Operations Tab
  9. Click Solution Management
  10. Click the link to the LightningConductorWebPart.wsp file
  11. Click Deploy Solution
  12. Choose either now, or a scheduled time, and then click OK.
  13. Navigate to your Top Level Site in your site collection
  14. Click Site Actions, Site Settings.
  15. From the Site Collection Administration Column, click Site Collection Features.
  16. Click the Activate button to activate the Lightning Conductor Web Part.
  17. Navigate to the Web Part Page where you would like to add the web part.
  18. Choose Site Actions, Edit Page.
  19. Click Add a Web Part in one of your web part zones
  20. Tick the check box to add the Lightning Conductor Web Part, and choose Add.
